ping compiled with egcs-1.1.2 is broken. Anyone who's tried it out has
noticed that. It doesn't ever get any return packets.
ping compiled with ccc works fine.
Now, what am I supposed to do about this? ccc and libots and friends are
special downloads. I'll need to talk to Compaq about distributing that
stuff, and I really don't want to have anything in the distribution
dependant upon it. But ping built with gcc is broken.
Ideas?
