[slackware-alphadevel] a new generic kernel?

I might have some leads on what to do to make the generic kernel more
generic. Will Woods (guy from Compaq who's fixing up aboot) determined
that the Future Domain SCSI controller module was preventing booting on
one of his machines. That will most likely be coming out of the generic
kernel soon.

When I get that sunc out, I'd appreciate it if everyone could try it out
and see if it goes on their machine. If not, maybe I need to remove a few
more SCSI cards. We can always add in SCSI card-specific kernels later if
it becomes an issue.

As much as I appreciate the people that came up with new kernel configs, I
sure would love to knock it back down to one generic image. Most people
will want to rebuild their kernels later on, so providing a slightly fat
image for installation is no big deal.

Anyways, that image will be going on in several days.

print map{chr(-$n[$i++]+ord)} sort(split(//,'place random string here')),"\n";
