When I boot with the console=ttyS0,9600 paramter, the kernel doesn't seem
to like it. I get the following:

----<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>----
boot: linux console=ttyS0,9600
Loading initial ramdisk....
PROMLIB: obio_ranges 1
Booting Linux...
----<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>----

I also tried the following but it didn't get the ramdisk loaded:

----<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>----
boot: /boot/vmlinux.sun4cdm console=ttyS0,9600
PROMLIB: obio_ranges 1
Booting Linux...
----<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>--------<CUT HERE>----

But before I tried the above I tried without the console= parameter. Things
did go through better than before (init actually started) but there seems to
be a problem with virtual consoles. I am on a serial console Sparc 5 with
video card, but no keyboard/video/mouse attached.

I do have a Sun keyboard, but no 13W3-M to VGA HD-15-F adapter. If I
attach the keyboard I can't see what I'm doing. I did try booting with
it and going through as much as I could while blind, and the drive light
activity indication suggests things are working .. up to the point that
I don't know what to type next because I can't see anything.
