I'm in the process of dl'ing a new ISO right now. If I have problems
with this one, I'll just wait till Slack/sparc goes production. I've
burnt 3 CD's now and have not been able to get a successful install
from any of the three on three different machines.

Firstly, let me say that I'm _very_ grateful that you're working on
Slack for Sparc! I was just about to tackle it myself before you came
along and said that you had already begun work.
However, I have to ask why you're working on non-important stuff like
Mozilla, KDE, and Gnome, when people are still having problems just
getting a base system installed. I, personally, will build X myself,
and probably won't even use a web browser on my sparc. Also,
personally again, I don't use KDE or Gnome, and wouldn't even dream
of using them a Sparc LX or Sparc5. I'm just anxiously awaiting an
ISO that will work with my Sparc.
Thanks,
