Maybe a keymap intended for Intel.

Run "showkey" and type the keys Left-Alt, Left-Directional-Arrow,
Up-Directional-Arrow, r, o, t ... and lets see what the codes are.
You might also do "dumpkeys -l" and save the output to be included
here to see what kind of keymap you have in effect.

Here's my "showkey" output on my Intel box for comparison:

| phil@pollux:/home/phil 349> showkey
| kb mode was XLATE
|
| press any key (program terminates 10s after last keypress)...
| keycode 28 release
| keycode 56 press
| keycode 56 release
| keycode 105 press
| keycode 105 release
| keycode 103 press
| keycode 103 release
| keycode 19 press
| keycode 19 release
| keycode 24 press
| keycode 24 release
| keycode 20 press
| keycode 20 release
| phil@pollux:/home/phil 350>

I don't have a head on my Sparc 5's, yet, to compare them.
