The previous problem with the SELECT menu was as expected. The file
/usr/lib/setup/SeTPKG has the SELECT menu options coded as input to
dialog, and there is a backslash at the end of the last line for the
"N" set. Deleting that backslash fixes that.
The next problem is that when I get to the point where the first package
is to be installed, I get a scrollup of several errors saying directories
do not exist. These include /mnt/usr, /mnt/tmp, and /mnt/etc. One of
the errors happens while creating the fstab file in /usr/lib/setup/setup.
But I cannot find in that file where /mnt/etc is created. Maybe it is
somewhere else?
Any ideas?
