A boot/root floppy would be cool and very handy. I don't have a CD

Once I have a CD burner, yes.. it would be very cool to just burn an ISO
image.

Hmm.. that is a tough one. I think that a generic kernel with SCSI and
IDE drivers would be sufficient for installation purposes. Otherwise, it
will be rather complicated making a kernel for each family of Alphas.

I prefer installing from CD. I will have to order a cd burner to make
things easier in the mean time. However, installation from a hard drive
or network would be cool. I think that for now installation from CD and
from a hard drive would be sufficient.
On the topic of installation.. aboot or MILO? That will be a fun one to
figure out, since aboot is a little more complicated to install, but is
faster.
