Hi,

Cool.. I'll take a look at the 2.2.18 kernel. I think
you are right about the ide and scsi stuff.. I will
next try to build a kernel with no ide support other
than the floppy drive and see what happens for kicks.
If we end up having to make config files for the
different box's, I could help out with a few since I
have two different alphas at home and several at work.
