I've tried the -Wa,-mall option to gcc, as well as the -Wa,-m21164 option.
These are both supposed to get passed on to the assembler to specify what
machine to generate code for. And in both cases, nothing really happened.
I think my next step is to look at what someone else did. And after that,
I'll just have to have a dedicated Pine-compiling machine.
