I've posted this a few time, but here's the fix again.
calling mkfs is the wrong way. mkfs only takes a single parameter {the
disk}
call mkfs.ext2 instead scince it does work.
something like mkfs.ext2 -b $blocksize $device I nomally have to do this
before install, scince all the slackware distributions have been broken at
that point scince at very least 3.4
