Skipping frame buffer might not be so good. The DEC ZLXp PCI graphics
boards are TGA boards that require the frame buffer code. A LOT of
Alpha Stations come with these cards and it isn't always easy to find
a VGA card lying arountthe house that has a Alpha compatible BIOS in it.
