I agree 100% that the framebuffer should stay, it will lead to a LOT of
problems for a lot of people if it goes away.
I have not had any problems with the USB code on my machines, so I vote
for keeping it in there - but then again, none of my Alphas actually have
USB, so they are not the best boxes for testing that ;-)
