I've been downloading that first ISO the past couple of days (at 31.2k).
Because rsync wasn't correctly restarting (still haven't figured out why, or
how to make it work right) I split (on a server I have on a T1) the original
ISO (compressed) into 381 little 1 meg files and rsync'd those. Then if it
died in the middle, I'd lose at most a megabyte's worth of time (which did
happen twice). As of around 5 PM it got done. I built the original ISO
back from those files and then started to sync again on the latest ISO and
then took off to attend the local monthly Unix User's Group meeting. The
rsync is now 76% complete (this is where the checksum feature really helps).
It's that initial downloading that was the hardest part. At this point
things should start to happen a little faster. I'll probably be burning and
installing tomorrow morning.
