Welp, I've dug myself out of the avalanche of work that came right after
this beta program started. Now... I'm unable to boot off either CD
image (booting the kernel works, but then it barfs trying to mount the
initrd, seems as though it doesn't realize that the initrd image is
gzip'ed; trying various kernel/silo parameters don't help). But,
netbooting works fine.

Except... I'm having the same wierd keymapping problem Charles reported.
I've tried a Type 5 and a Type 5c (?) keyboard on a sparc5 and sparc20.
Both have installed slolaris w/these keyboards fine. It's
excruciatingly painful to try to type stuff out like this, but it
doesn't look like showkey or loadkeys are on the boot image... :( Did
anybody ever come up with any ideas for this? I haven't been able to
find anything like this in our archives of linux-sparc, the redhat sparc
list, etc. I'll search through the netbsd and openbsd sparc lists next.

I have a sparc10 that's in somewhat-working order that I'll try next,
just for the hell of it. And if I find the house-elf that stole all my
db9->db25 converters, I'll try a serial console.

Hank
