Today I was laid off. I'm no longer a paid employee working on Slackware.
I am still part of the core development team and I'll be continuing the
SPARC port, so you don't have to worry about that going away.
Official CD sets of the SPARC port won't be made, but I'm considering
making them here and mailing them out for those that want them. Would
anyone be interested in that? I'm thinking a two disc set (bootable
install and source). I have a PayPal account that people could use to pay
for the service. I was also thinking about selling the CD sets for each
release, but also monthly -current snapshots for those that want to live
on the edge. Maybe keep a subscription service for that.
The money would go to pay for shipping, media costs, and to support the
development of Slackware on the SPARC platform.
If anyone is interested in this, let me know.
